Designate RMHC on your United Way pledge form to take advantage of payroll deductions. Federal Employees can donate to RMHC Northern Nevada with Combined Federal Campaign. See us on page 26 in your 2006 campaign for Nevada. If you shop at Scolari’s, use the Friendship Fund number 1666 to benefit RMHC.
While some Houses collect pop tabs (metal tabs from soda cans), RMHC Northern Nevada does not. What we’ve discovered is that we can get more recycling value for the whole can instead of just the tab. If you or your service organization is interested in or has been collecting pop tabs for us, we ask that you recycle the whole can and the pop tab and donate the funds from recycling to us. Please do not bring pop tabs or cans to the house as we have no place to store them. There are items we always need for the house, even if they aren’t on our wish list. When you’re at the store, pick up an extra box of laundry detergent or an extra box of gallon-sized food storage bags. Keep in mind that the items you continually need in your home are the same things our home needs, only we are helping up to twelve families.
