Q & A: Does McDonald's own or fully fund Ronald McDonald House Charities? No. McDonald's Corporation is a donor and friend to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern Nevada but does not fully fund or own our organization. Our license for the "Ronald McDonald House" trademarks comes with special benefits and matching fund programs, and we rely on the support of the local community for 90% of our funding.

McDonald’s has an in-store canister funds program that benefits RMHC. When you donate coins into wishing wells or canisters, 75% stays locally and 25% goes to RMHC Global. This 25% is returned to our local community through the matching funds programs that support RMHC Scholarships and Community Outreach Grants. If you have questions about how McDonald’s supports RMHC and our local community, please contact Mary O’Brien.
